David and I worked side-by-side at CNO Financial for eight years. He is among the most caring leaders I’ve known.
He cares about his staff. He’s been able to take strong leaders on his team and given them freedom and challenges to raise their performance. Others that are struggling, received coaching and support, and ultimately if unable to meet the business needs were reassigned. He cares about business partners. In particular, his dedication to the company’s writing agents was unquestioned. While a clear industry subject matter expert in life and health new business processes, he faced heavy challenges on his team’s financial performance. Over a period of months, his organization went through a transformation with new, robust data reporting, external consultant audits, higher productivity, and ultimately better results. During difficult times, he maintains his composure and focuses his team’s execution on singular goals. Ultimately, this makes him dependable in all types of situations. It’s also worth noting, that he’s fun and likable guy.
